Hello from Your Hoffman Team

Hi Team Nokia,
We are ready to run through walls for you.
We are ready to run through walls for you.
Stepping back for a beat, Nokia is in the midst of a reset. Since Justin Hotard took the CEO reins, the company has made its aspirations clear:
To lead in providing the infrastructure for AI-enabled connectivity, or what Justin aptly refers to as the …
“AI super cycle.”
Yes, this is a global aspiration, but there’s no getting around that Nokia needs to win in the U.S. to fully realize its potential.
We can clearly see the opportunity for communications to be a difference maker in positioning Nokia for the AI era.
Frankly, just writing about it activates our endorphins.
Which leads to the question,
Why us?
We offer Nokia the best of both worlds:
Institutional knowledge of how to navigate the Nokia corridors.
Courage to put forth counsel and ideas that reflect where Nokia is headed, not where it’s been.
Some of you have first-hand experience in teaming with us. Many of you don’t.
That’s the purpose of this microsite: to share a deeper window into our capabilities and what makes us tick (tock) . While the RFP covers some of this information, putting it all in one digital place makes for easier consumption.
Rewinding the tape, we do know our way around Nokia, a relationship that goes back to 2012, as seen from the timeline.
2012
Alcatel-Lucent hires Hoffman
2013
Support the Alcatel-Lucent “Shift Plan”
2014
Big Bang 50th anniversary campaign
2016
Nokia selects Hoffman; the relationship continues
2019
Program expands to the UK
2020
Award-winning thought leadership campaign on internet usage during the pandemic
2023
Collaborate with the White House on the Nokia Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) program
2025
Supported three major milestones:
- The centennial celebration of Nokia Bell Labs
- The Infinera acquisition
- The moon launch
While our assignments have varied throughout the years, the common thread is when Nokia absolutely, positively (borrowing from FedEx) needed it done right, they turned to us. And this doesn’t include our work inside the business units program, where execution month after month after month has delivered air cover for sales.
One final comment —
We also bring an intangible quality to the table. It’s tough to quantify, but we’ll try with this internal graphic.
We view smart and skilled talent as table stakes. Our differentiation comes from a culture that fosters intense care for our clients. That’s where the magic happens.
So, when we talk about running through walls for Nokia, it’s more than an idiom.
We look forward to continuing the dialogue throghout the RFP process.
