The company had been known primarily as a server manufacturer, but it was ready to tell a bigger story: one about complete solutions that combined hardware, software and services to power AI-enabled data centers and next-generation telecom networks across Europe, Asia and the U.S.
Our work over the past few years has focused on connecting journalists with the right experts, ensuring that Supermicro’s story reaches decision-makers who read both business and trade media.
Industry events became major storytelling moments.
When Michael Clegg, Supermicro’s vice president and general manager for 5G, Embedded and IoT, attended Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, we saw a chance to make his presence count. The global team organized targeted briefings with key telecom and data center journalists, including Frank Everaardt of TechnologyInsider, Lauly Li of Nikkei Asia and Nick Flaherty of eeNews Europe.
The positive feedback led Supermicro to pursue a speaking opportunity at the event the following year.
As Michael took the stage at MWC 2025, we worked behind the scenes to maintain the momentum from the previous year. We facilitated additional briefings and media interactions with Converge! Network Digest, Futuriom and Counterpoint Research.
And we continued offering Michael to trade publications, such as Data Center Dynamics, to discuss 5G, edge computing and network evolution. Each discussion reinforced how Supermicro infrastructure supports edge computing, 5G evolution and the growing demands AI is placing on telecom networks.
But we didn’t stop there. Our global team facilitated a conversation between CEO Charles Liang and tier-one business media, including a briefing with CNBC Asia, to highlight Supermicro’s growth, strategy and AI-enabled solutions.
Finally, to fill a gap in coverage around AI infrastructure, we brought in Dan Hanson, director of AI Fabric Procurement, to give journalists a closer look at the architectural shifts behind large-scale AI workloads.
