For five years, The Hoffman Agency represented MatSing, a lens antenna provider transforming cellular connectivity at large-scale events and venues. Our work focused on North American earned media, including ongoing press outreach and media briefings at major industry gatherings such as MWC Barcelona and MWC Americas.
At the heart of the engagement was a simple challenge: make advanced telecom infrastructure compelling to nontechnical audiences. MatSing’s technology enables “macro” deployments — high-capacity cellular coverage for stadiums, festivals and everyday environments — dramatically improving signal strength and reducing dropouts. Our role was to turn that technical capability into stories that resonated beyond telecom trades.
We developed and executed an outreach strategy centered on real-world deployments, securing coverage across telecom, business and vertical market publications. Over the course of the partnership, we promoted MatSing’s role in some of the world’s most demanding connectivity environments, including nine consecutive Super Bowls, the Paris Olympics, Burning Man, Coachella and major concert tours such as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
We also highlighted permanent installations delivering long-term value for fans and operators at venues like AT&T Stadium (Dallas Cowboys), Amalie Arena (Tampa Bay Lightning) and Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas Raiders).
The defining strategic insight was shifting the narrative away from antennas and specifications and toward human experience. Stronger cellular coverage meant uninterrupted video streams, seamless social sharing, real-time betting and fantasy sports updates, and the ability for tens of thousands of fans to stay connected simultaneously. For venue owners and event organizers, it meant better fan satisfaction and new revenue opportunities tied to mobile engagement.
One standout example was our storytelling around Burning Man: Reliable mobile service in the Black Rock Desert — 80 miles from the nearest running water — became a powerful hook that earned coverage in Billboard, a music publication that avoids the technical weeds.
Alongside consumer-facing storytelling, we maintained strong relationships with telecom and infrastructure media, ensuring consistent, technically credible coverage of each deployment. Every pitch was tailored to its market context, local relevance, and broader consumer and industry trends.
By the end of the engagement, our role expanded to advising on real-time social content, helping MatSing capitalize on cultural moments at supported venues — from sold-out concerts to record-breaking sports performances.
In the end, we didn’t just amplify MatSing’s signal; we made it impossible to ignore.
