CloudMosa: Turning Digital Inclusion Into Telco Growth

As the world races toward 5G, more than 2 billion people remain offline despite expanding global coverage. CloudMosa identified the missing link: the B-Gap, an affordability barrier preventing billions from accessing the digital economy. CloudMosa’s ultra-affordable Cloud Phone software transforms $10 feature phones into streaming- and app-capable devices, unlocking full digital access without a smartphone. By the way, this includes Nokia devices such as the iconic 3210 manufactured by HMD (Human Mobile Devices), a licensed manufacturer of the Nokia brand and CloudMosa's biggest manufacturing partner.

For telcos, this wasn’t just a social challenge; it was a commercial opportunity hiding in plain sight. Working with CloudMosa, we developed the B-Gap Barometer to reframe affordability as a growth lever, position Cloud Phone as a strategic enabler and show how inclusion could drive measurable business outcomes.

The goal was to change industry perception. Instead of treating digital inclusion as CSR, we repositioned it as a catalyst for growth. Built with telco language and informed by senior telecom leaders across India, Vietnam and the Philippines, the Barometer demonstrated how closing the B-Gap could accelerate 2G-to-4G migration, unlock new users and increase ARPU. It quickly became a credible springboard for strategic conversations with operators across emerging markets.

We previewed the findings at Mobile World Congress before launching globally with a high-impact press announcement. The story landed standout coverage, positioning CloudMosa as a category-defining force in affordable access and digital transformation. Earned media was amplified through coordinated LinkedIn and Medium storytelling, alongside a video series of animated explainers and product demos. In India, leading tech influencer Trakin Tech translated the narrative for a mass audience, driving millions of views and making the technology’s potential tangible for everyday users.

In parallel, we ran a targeted direct-marketing push to convert awareness into action. EDMs reached more than 7,000 telco leaders across emerging markets, generating inbound interest and opening doors for serious commercial discussions. The Barometer became a shared proof point in live talks with Globe Telecom in the Philippines and supported early conversations with Grameenphone in Bangladesh and Vodacom in Africa.

The campaign delivered momentum and measurable impact: 151 pieces of earned coverage across 12+ markets, 1.3 billion impressions, 100% key-message pull-through and entirely positive sentiment. CloudMosa was named a Vendor to Watch by The Fast Mode, while the B-Gap entered the wider digital-inclusion lexicon. Most importantly, it unlocked tangible outcomes: pilot talks and partnerships with telcos including Viettel, Vodacom and Grameenphone, alongside an NGO rollout with Lokal Lab in the Philippines.
