Industry Analysts: A Discipline Built on Credibility

The Hoffman Agency is one of the very few B2B technology agencies with a dedicated industry analyst relations practice.

This isn't something we bolted on because it looked good on paper. This capability grew organically out of our telecoms heritage, where analysts have always played a central role in shaping vendor reputations and influencing operator buying decisions.

Our perspective is grounded in experience and evidence. Through primary research with telecom technology buyers, we’ve consistently found that analysts are ranked among the most trusted and influential sources when vendors are shortlisted, architectures are evaluated and long-term strategies are set. That insight shapes how we design analyst programs: focused on credibility, consistency and long-term engagement rather than reactive briefings tied solely to report cycles.

We run ongoing analyst relations programs for a range of telecoms clients, including Samsung Networks and Boldyn Networks. This involves maintaining regular, constructive dialogue with analysts from firms such as Omdia, Analysys Mason, IDC, Gartner, Forrester, Appledore, CCS Insight and GSMA Intelligence.

These relationships ensure analysts have a clear understanding of our clients’ strategies, technologies and roadmaps well ahead of formal evaluation processes. Because by the time a Magic Quadrant drops, it's too late to shape the narrative.

The impact is cumulative rather than immediate. When analysts publish targeted reports, develop comparative assessments or make recommendations to their own operator and enterprise clients, our clients are already understood in the right context. Analyst relations, in our view, is about earning understanding over time, ensuring credibility is in place long before it’s tested.

It's strategic, it's deliberate, and it works.
